Before registering for the team, agree to our team framework and expectations.
TEAM FRAMEWORK
The NICA Vision is where every American youth has the opportunity to build a strong body, mind, and character through interscholastic cycling. NICA was developed to provide a competitive cycling program for student-athletes.
The Skyridge Mountain Bike Team was created to train and support students at Skyridge High School to be a part of a team where everyone participates and competes. We are not a recreational team. Everyone practices and everyone races.
Our team is inclusive and anyone who agrees to our team expectations and rules can join.

EXPECTATIONS
We expect student-athletes
- to have fun!
- to be dedicated and attend practices regularly.
- to use TeamSnap to mark practice availability.
- to be respectful to others.
- to ride within their skill and ability.
- to listen when being given instructions.
- to work hard and push themselves beyond what they think they can be pushed.
- to support their teammates on race day (it's a long day!).
- to communicate with coaching staff regarding pertinent issues ie. sick, missing practice, making up rides, leaving race early for approved reason, etc.
to make up missed practices, tracked on Strava (free app), and communication with a coach. - and parents to read emails and TeamSnap notifications and be responsive as requested in notification.
- parents to volunteer where needed and support the coaches in our team framework and expectations.
